He came with his parents to America at the age of 2. The family spent the first winter at McGregor, Iowa, and then homesteaded near Scandia.
In January, 1894, he was married to Karen Tiller. They took up their abode in the farm home east of Norway.
Two children: Anton and Ellen were born them. Mrs. Larsen passed away on November 4, 1900. He was married to Gusta Ostberg for a short time, then divorced.
He passed away at the Scandia Rest Home on September 13, 1961, at the age of 92 years, 4 months and 8 days.
Besides his parents and wife, three brothers: Adolph, Albert and Frank have preceded him In death. He is survived by his children: Anton of Scandia and Mrs. Ellen Hammer of Norway,
four grandchildren, 11 grandchildren,nephews, nieces and a host of friends. Internment in the Norway Cemetery. - Lars Jorgen Larsen
